Recently in Parliament, David raised the issue of many of the beautiful, historic buildings, in our area which have sadly fallen into disrepair over the years. These landmarks are a vital part of our community’s heritage, and like so many of you, David feels deeply concerned about their continued decline.

During a question to the Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, David highlighted the need for action to repurpose these treasured buildings for affordable housing. He asked what support the government could provide to breathe new life into these structures, preserving their historical significance while addressing the pressing need for affordable homes. David will continue to push for solutions to ensure our historic buildings remain a proud part of our local identity for generations to come.
