David Williams MP Labour MP for Stoke-on-Trent North & Kidsgrove
This week, 6 Towns Radio is celebrating its 15th birthday. Broadcasting across the six towns of Stoke-on-Trent and into Newcastle-under-Lyme, the station has become a well-known part of the local community.
The station is run entirely by volunteers, with Dan Townley, Terry Bossons and a dedicated team giving their time to bring music, news and local voices to the airwaves. Over the past 15 years, 6 Towns Radio has supported countless community events, given opportunities to aspiring broadcasters, and provided a platform for local talent.
David Williams paid tribute to the station and its volunteers, saying: โ6 Towns Radio has been at the heart of our community for 15 years. It brings people together, supports local events, and gives opportunities to new voices. I want to congratulate Dan, Terry and everyone involved for everything theyโve achieved โ and wish them continued success for the years ahead.โ
The milestone anniversary is a reminder of the vital role community radio plays in keeping people connected and celebrating what makes Stoke-on-Trent special.
