This week is Road Safety Week. On Monday, David Williams MP hosted Brake, a road safety charity that has spent 30 years working to end the tragedy of road deaths and serious injuries. MPs joined him to hear about the charity’s ongoing work, and throughout the week he has met bereaved families and organisations campaigning for change.
David has continued to speak with ministers and fellow MPs as he works to secure Sharlotte’s Law, arguing that it is wrong that a suspect must currently give consent for their blood to be tested. He believes families should never have to endure such pain and injustice.
