CELEBRATING OUR SCHOOLS IN PARLIAMENT
It was a busy start to the week in Parliament celebrating two local schools.
David was proud to collect an award on behalf of St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy in Tunstall, which received an International School Award from the British Council. He has previously welcomed students from St Margaret Ward to Parliament, supported careers events at the school, and taken part in a Q&A session with students there.
David also met with Miss Haycock from St Thomas CofE Primary Academy in Kidsgrove. Miss Haycock is one of 65 Parliamentary Teacher Ambassadors from across the country, a programme that encourages children and young people to understand how Parliament works. David looks forward to visiting the school soon.
David has now visited over a third of the schools across the area, something he greatly enjoys doing.
