Our Heritage Matters
David Williams MP said that, alongside visiting the Queen’s Theatre last week, he also joined colleagues to see the work carried out to make the Wedgwood Institute safe and waterproof.
He reflected on the recent decision to declare a Heritage Emergency in the area, describing it as a difficult but important step. David said that the area’s historic buildings matter deeply to local people and families, including his own, and must be protected.
While acknowledging that much more work still needs to be done, David welcomed these developments as steps in the right direction and pledged to continue raising the importance of bringing historic buildings back into use, both inside and outside Parliament.
