Kidsgrove has been left without a post office for over seven months and residents still have no answers on when this essential service will return.

A post office is more than a place to send letters. It provides vital services we all rely on:

  • Applying for passports and driving licences

  • Paying bills

  • Exchanging currency

  • Everyday face-to-face support, especially for those with limited digital access

The alternatives at Butt Lane and Goldenhill are over a mile away, hard to reach without transport, and do not offer the full range of services. For many residents, especially elderly people, this has made life much harder.

Despite repeated requests for clarity since March, no explanation or timetable for reopening has been provided. This is unacceptable.

We call on the Post Office to:

  1. Explain clearly why Kidsgrove Post Office remains closed

  2. Set out what steps are being taken to reopen it

  3. Provide a date for when services will return

The people of Kidsgrove deserve their Post Office back. Sign this petition today to demand action.
