David continues to hold important meetings to secure a replacement for the war memorial that once listed the names of Royal Doulton employees who lost their lives in World War I and World War II.
The original memorial was unfortunately lost following the redevelopment of the former factory site, now the Kiln Gate housing development.
It has been a privilege to collaborate with Mike, Ian, Mervyn – whose dedication has been outstanding – representatives from St Modwen, Joan Walley, and Council Leader Jane Ashworth. While there is still work to be done, progress is being made, and further updates will follow.
David remains committed to ensuring that a new memorial is put in place to honour and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
