In Parliament, David Williams MP highlighted the difference a Labour Government is making for families in Stoke-on-Trent North and Kidsgrove.
David spoke of his own experience working in Labour’s Sure Start children’s centres in the early 2000s, and how transformative that investment was for families locally.
Now, with Labour back in office, new support is being delivered in the area, including:
-
Free breakfast clubs at Greenways and Milton primary academies
-
A new school-based nursery at Smallthorne Academy
-
Extended family hubs
-
More funded childcare places
David said: “I know from my own experience at Sure Start just how much difference Labour investment makes to families. Now we are delivering again — with new breakfast clubs, nurseries and childcare places here in Stoke-on-Trent North and Kidsgrove. It shows that only with a Labour Government do families really get on and young people get the best start in life.”
The Minister agreed, stressing the importance of Labour’s investment in childcare, breakfast clubs and free school meals to help every child thrive.
